Martin Kamuyu, born in Rironi, Kiambu, Kenya, had to leave school after three years to care for his younger siblings due to his mother’s stroke. Discovering his passion for art, he began sketching and decorating with natural materials. His cousin, Shine Tani, director of Banana Hill Art Gallery, supported him and brought him into the world of art.

Kamuyu's art is essential for him to express his ideas. He's been a dedicated member and secretary of the Banana Hill Art Gallery, recognised for his commitment.
