Banana Hill Art Gallery presents Endless Talk, a solo exhibition by Ugandan contemporary artist Kalule Herbert Albert Kasule, widely known as Kalule.

Working primarily in oil on canvas, Kalule creates vivid figurative paintings characterised by expressive faces, captivating eyes, bold colour, and a distinctive impasto finish. His generous application of paint gives each work a pronounced physicality, allowing colour, texture, and gesture to become an integral part of the storytelling.

At the centre of Kalule’s paintings are his subjects and their expressive eyes. They establish a quiet dialogue between the figures and the viewer, drawing attention to moments of observation, interaction, movement, and reflection. This ongoing exchange gives Endless Talk its name, with each painting offering a story that continues beyond the surface of the canvas.

Kalule draws much of his inspiration from everyday life in East Africa. His compositions reflect contemporary African society while incorporating cultural symbols, patterns, and motifs that connect present-day experiences with a deeper heritage. Through his use of colour and dynamic compositions, he captures the energy, character, and movement of daily life.
